We never read the whole thing in one sitting, but both my preschooler and kindergartner loved it. This is a treasure of a book that you could look at all day and still not catch everything. Richard Scarry’s What Do People Do All Day, by Richard Scarry The story is great and the pictures are hilarious. At the end of the book he has a list of chores for which he’ll earn an allowance. He has all kinds of ideas (cooking mud pies, building houses, fixing cars, etc.), and his mother gently turns each of these into a household chore. In this one he wants money to buy something, but his mother informs him that he will need a job first. We just love this plucky pig and his never ending enthusiasm.
